Christie Sides Returns to Indiana as Fever Head Coach

Former Assistant Coach and WNBA Coach Returns to Lead Indiana

Christie Sides, a former Indiana Fever assistant coach and WNBA coach, has returned to Indiana as the ninth head coach in franchise history. Sides spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the Phoenix Mercury after serving as the head coach of the Fever from 2023 to 2025.

Sides Brings Extensive Coaching Experience

Sides brings a wealth of coaching experience to Indiana, having spent 22 years in the WNBA as an assistant coach and head coach. As an assistant coach, she helped the Fever win the WNBA championship in 2015 and 2016. As head coach, she led the Fever to the playoffs in both 2023 and 2024.

Indiana Fever Outlook

The Fever are coming off a disappointing 2023 season in which they finished 6-28. Sides will be tasked with turning around the franchise and leading them back to the playoffs. The Fever have a talented young roster led by recent first overall draft pick Aaliyah Boston.
