Norris signs new multi-year McLaren deal

22-year-old Briton commits future to team

Lando Norris has signed a new multi-year contract to continue racing for McLaren.

The 21-year-old Briton has made a flying start to his third season with the team, scoring points in all three races so far and taking a podium finish at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

His new deal is a sign of faith from McLaren in Norris, who has been one of the most impressive young drivers on the grid since making his F1 debut in 2019.

Norris said: "I'm very happy to have signed a new contract with McLaren. I've been with the team for three years now and I feel very much at home here.

"I'm proud of what we've achieved together so far and I'm excited about what the future holds."

McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl said: "We're delighted that Lando has committed his future to McLaren. He's a huge talent and we believe he has the potential to become a world champion."
